BF013: John Pizzimenti Founder of Otter Creek Outdoors TV Show

John Pizzimenti

Have you ever wanted to do something that would inspire other people? Join me as John Pizzimenti shares part of his life story and how he works part-time at Otter Creek Outdoors, to produce a TV show that inspires and entertains people.

 Guest’s Opening Quote:

“We’re taking an extra effort in our lives, in our time, to produce something in the hopes that it’s going to inspire other people and for other people’s enjoyment, and then of course it’s nice when I’m in the bank or I’m in the sporting goods place and a guy says ‘Hey, aren’t you the guy with that TV show?’ It doesn’t happen often Phil, it doesn’t happen a lot. But it happens, and then I say, hey you know, I’ve accomplished something!”

More About My Guest:

John began hunting in the spring of 1995. Having taken a class on Spring Turkey hunting, John harvested a 12.5 lb. jake on his second day of hunting. Deer hunting with a rifle was next. As beginner’s luck would continue for John, he harvested a mature 6 point buck, dressed out at 156 lbs. in December of that same year.

John was not satisfied with only 3 weeks of deer hunting in the fall, so he took up bow hunting in the fall of 1996. This eventually led to several trips to the Texas Panhandle beginning in 1999. Having successfully taken several turkeys and deer over the years, including a 15 point buck taken in Texas, John brought his passion for hunting to television with the Otter Creek Outdoors TV show. Joining friends and fellow hunters Patrick and James Kelly, Otter Creek Productions was born in the winter of 2001.
